This is a summary of my own personal journey with adenomyosis.
About a year and a half back I began having debilitating pain, bleeding, and swelling about 2 weeks out of every month. To make a long story short, I was put on pain meds, hormones, ect., and was finally given the adenomyosis diagnosis. I recall my gyno briefly, and quite nonchalantly saying to "eat better", but I disregarded it, as it seemed unimportant.
The months following, things got worse, I switched pills a few times, my hormones were out of control, I scared myself at times. I'd go from tears to rage in .2 seconds. Looking back, it must have been a long dreadful year for my family. I would pray night and day for healing, or an answer to my problems at the very least.
I soon came face to face with the decision to have a hysterectomy. This only seemed like a good idea during those unbearable weeks of suffering. The rest of the month I hormonally mourned the babies that would never be, or the part of my body that once housed the three miracles I already had. I had no choice, this was to be my only escape from the misery brought on by the adenomyosis. However, I always cancelled appointments, or pushed them back in the hopes that my prayers would be answered, and be able to keep my uterus.
In 2013, my prayers had be answered. My sister in law was telling me about this "diet" book she was reading. The name of the book was Trim Healthy Mama, written by two Christian home schooling mothers, who had compiled a book of a seemingly perfect diet, after failed attempts at all the "fad" diets. It's a low glycemic diet, but the book was more than just diet and recipes, it also included chapters on hormones, pregnancy, marriage, ect. So, long story short, I bought the book (not with the Adeno in mind at the time). In addition to the recommended diet of the book, I also stopped eating a great majority of processed foods and began eating primarily whole foods. Within a month, the pain and swelling had gone down, by month two, all my symptoms were considerably less. In addition to that my cycles were normal for the first time in my life. I was shocked by what was happening. I began to do research to figure out if it was in fact my diet that was having an impact on my adenomyosis. Sure enough I had discovered that Omega 6 is an inflammatory, and Omega 3 is an anti-inflammatory. Omega 6's are primarily found in processed foods, all the stuff in the center isles at the supermarket, all the stuff I had been eating, but had given up. Omega 3's are found in things like salmon, flaxseeds, chia seeds, nuts, eggs, pasture fed meat and milk, and beans, just to name a few. All the things I was eating...in high amounts due to my new diet.
Now I'm not a doctor, or a biologist, but I strongly feel that the Omega 6's were, at the very least, adding to the pain, swelling and bleeding caused by the adenomyosis, and by greatly decreasing those inflammatories, and increasing the Omega 3's (anti-inflammatories) I have now been able to, almost eliminate, or alleviate all of my symptoms. I say almost because I still have heavy cycles, but they are nowhere as bad as they had been.
I'm not sharing this because I think it will be everyone's answer, or everyone's cure, but it maybe someone's. It is worth a shot. All I have is my own personal experience to back it up, but I'll tell ya, I've been pain free and without swelling, greatly decreased bleeding, no hormone pills, and no pain pills for eight straight months now, and that has to have some kind of credibility. The doctors aren't going to tell you this. Either because they don't know or they can't make money off sharing this with you.
So if you are a woman suffering from Adenomyosis, newly diagnosed, or awaiting surgery, I urge you to try and adjust your diet. Eat less precessed foods, and more whole foods, and it wouldn't hurt to add it some fish oil pills, it can't hurt (the only pills I take now).
No more adeno....regular cycles....I think I'm ready for baby #4. ;)
It has been a couple years, how are you still doing? Was THM the success and help for Adenomyosis? Were you able to conceive again?
ReplyDeleteSorry It has taken me so long to respond, I'm not sure how I missed your comment.
ReplyDeleteTHM was very successful, I did end up conceiving again but wasn't following THM during pregnancy and nursing (BIG MISTAKE). I gained weight again and after having my son my adenomyosis was back with a vengeance. I ended up having a partial hysterectomy in October. However, I am still confident that if I had stayed on THM or was able to get right back on it, it would have resolved the problem.
I am back on THM now and I feel amazing. I am determined to kick the sugar/carb addiction once again, it's not easy but it helps to be able to eat some of the yummy and satisfying foods on THM. I haven't been back on it long but I already feel so much better, my body just feels so much better with less inflammation.
Thank you for checking in on me. It is encouraging and rereading my blog has inspired me all over again, and it was nice to look back where I was. I'll get there again. :)
I would encourage you to share your testimony with THM. I'm sure it would be very encouraging and a blessing to others with Adenomyosis.
ReplyDeleteI did a lot of research trying to find out what my options were with Adenomyosis. I ended up having a total hysterectomy 3 weeks ago. But other than your encouraging blog post, the only options out there involve: 1. reaching menopause naturally, 2. surgical menopause with a hysterectomy, 3. uterine ablation which is not effective long term with adenomyosis as it sears the inside of the uterus, but does nothing to the Adenomyosis continuing to grow within the walls of the uterus so bleeding eventually starts again, 4. progesterone therapy which shrinks the Adenomyosis temporarily, but again is not effective long term, or 5. the new surgery called adenomyomectomy which is promising, but is not readily available in the US. That you can read up on here: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21118751 Of course, that surgery is also a lot more invasive and surely more expensive than following THM.
I'm working on learning and following THM. Even after having had the hysterectomy, I believe THM will still help me to live a healthier life for my children. And possibly help with this new surgical menopause.
Thank you. :)
This information will help those suffering from Adenomyosis and Endometriosis, I was also a victim. I am excited to share this testimony, I was 3 years ago diagnosed of Adenomyosis and complicated Endometriosis. My medical condition was heart broken because it was causing my menstrual cramps, bloating before menstrual periods, lower abdominal pressure which result to heavy periods. I was subjected to different medications by my doctor for treatment such as Coenzyme Q10,ibuprofen, Danazol and many more. Despite my visit to several doctors my health wasn't getting better, all they could say was surgery. At the verge of giving up, I went to the internet to search for a treatment at least. But I found a cure instead. In the internet, I read a testimony of a lady who had Adenomyosis and Fibroid. She shared an e-mail address of the Doctor. Luckily everything seemed to be okay after I took the Herbal Medicine. I wish I could say that’s the end of it because I haven't had any symptoms since then.
ReplyDeleteDo not expose yourself to more danger, use a herbal remedy that is safe and effective. If interested contact him: ronniemd70@gmail.com to find out more information and treatment.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to share my success story with natural remedy: I had advanced adenomyosis was causing me to have the most excruciating pains every month and very heavy bleeding and of course a chronic anemia. The first GYN I saw said the only option was to remove my uterus. At only 24 my left ovary and Fallopian tube was removed due to endometriosis. After 4 years I had adenomyosis and right fallopian tube blocked. Always wanted to conceive but never been pregnant because adenomyosis was grown that I never had dimensions. My period came and was very heavy with clots - lasted 5 days and stop for 2 - came back again medium heavy for another week. I started taking Tranexamic acid for 5 days, Nature's way DIM-plus, four (4) capsules once a day. I also took the Pure Life Essence for Women, also 4 capsules once a day. I mix apple cider vinegar and water and take it twice a day and didn't work, it minimizes flow but comes back again, my Doctor gave me progesterone 200 mg and I kept bleeding...it's took me 3 weeks of bleeding; I looked very pale and felt weak - missed a couple of days at work. The Doctors I see all recommends hysterectomy. You know what stopped the bleeding?? Reading online came across an article about Doctor Ronnie's herbal medication for adenomyosis... I took it twice a day, and bleeding stopped. This is what works for me. I hope it helps someone else. I am 6 months pregnant now expecting my baby soon. You can get more information from him at ronniemd70@gmail.com
I love this site! So encouraging. I too believe I have been healed from adeno . I am 41 and married with a 6 year old. I was diagnosed with adeno a year ago. My pain was so severe that I literally had to lay flat on my back in order not to hurt.
ReplyDeleteI was taking two 800mg ibuprofen every 2 hours and was still in pain...Not good. I prayed for a healing and began doing some research because a hysterectomy was out of the question.
I started drinking acv in tea daily, which significantly reduced my cramps. Then I began drinking turmeric in milk with black pepper once a day. I even added some chocolate since I didn't like the taste. This reduced the pain about 80 percent. Three months ago I started taking turmeric supplements once a day and stopped with the avc. I found the acv was making my monthly cycle longer by 3-4 days.
For the last 2 months I changed my diet radically while still taking daily turmeric suppliments. No more chicken, red meat and other high estrogen foods. No coffee or sugary drinks either.
I have my period now and am 100 percent pain free! I still take alieve once a day but once I incorporate regular exercise and add more omega 3 foods to my diet I probably won't be needing them any more either.
You can do this naturally ladies. It just takes some dicipline. Be encouraged and take care of your body.
Thank you so much for this. Only women that actually go through life with this horrible disease can really understand the grueling pain and sadness adenomyosis causes. And what's worse is the doctors all have the same answer. They push ibuprofen, birth control pills, or a hysterectomy. When the truth is our body can heal itself if given the correct nutrients.
DeleteI have suffered from adenomyosis with severe cramps during and after my period. It was very painful and heavy bleeding and severe lower back pain my pain was unbearable to a point of being not able to move and a stabbing like pain on the left of my ovaries. Pain goes away when a clot comes out. But it took a while for the clot to come out. After several meetings with my gynaecologist which she suggested "laparoscopies" but I refused I know what laparoscopies is and how heart aching it can be then she stated that Allopathic treatment will help in pain management but it will not cure the disease. I started treatment with a drug named "endoheal 2 mg". This gave me pain relief but reduced my periods almost to no periods with numerous side effects - spotting and fluctuation in my dates. I was not mentally satisfied to bear the side effects so I came across ''Ayurvedic doctor" who started my treatment with herbs. Though I continued above drug 'endoheal 2 mg'" parallel for nine months for easy pain management. From then I continued taking the treatment. It reduced the size of my lesion but did not reduce it further after few months. And there was no relief in pain during menstruation but my Dr. Advised me to continue it during 3 months without any gap. I had noticed a quick ageing of my skin in the last 2 years. I am a smoker but for some reason I feel my quick ageing has to do with something else because I have been smoking for a long time and it's only recently that I noticed a fast decline of my skin elasticity. After then pain radiates very badly in my left leg, lower left back and left side of my vagina. The pain normally start anytime during 3, 5,6 days, but at time I had to take a painkiller for this also as it irritates whole day. Then pain disappears after fews day. My digestion was slow but Dr. Ronnie's supplements has improved it impossible situations is becoming possible miracles gradually.
ReplyDeleteI was lucky to read in the internet about a lady who was cured from Adenomyosis through Herbal Medication. I contacted Ronnie through an email address I got from a testimony shared on the internet. Without further delay I made an order, I switched over to it. I had great breakthrough, that in the first month, I was already testifying of the effective of the Herbal medication. After 3months course of taken the medicine, all symptoms were gone. It has been 1 year and four months since I became free from adenomyosis. Anyone who is not in my position would not understand what I went through, the heart break, the pain and how frustrated I was for 6 odd years. Believe me, it was hell. I am so happy; I never believed I will be this happy again in life. My story is quite lengthy, it might help you too. You may contact Dr. Ronnie to know more via his email on. ronniemd70@gmail.com
A lot of people have said Adenomyosis is not a life-threatening condition, but it can cause severe discomfort. I have decided to write this testimony with the sincere hope that it will enable you and your loved ones to get on the right path of living a meaningful life with the right balance of independence and freedom without surgery, I believe sharing my thoughts and experience about Ronnie's product will be helpful and Enlighten many of you that you are not alone I have suffered from Adenomyosis for 8 years, having Adenomyosis was not easy for me, My digestion was slow I was hospitalized several times our healthcare system/surgery failed me and other medication, after the surgery I took acv. I've taken multivitamins, herbal teas, shepards purse, Fertilpills and Folic acid, but the fertilpills bloat up my stomach and not in a way that it has gas and other things I don't remember the names. My story changed after a family friend directed me to Dr Ronnie in late 2016 but just after a month of using this herbal medicine, the rapid improvement in my health got me marveled. I thank Dr Ronnie for his support all through these years. If you are a women suffering with adenomyosis and experiencing heavy periods or severe uterine cramping and want to avoid surgery and keep your uterus, contact him; ( ronniemd70@gmail.com).
ReplyDeleteI have been following this blog for a while now and today i felt like i should share my story because i was a victim too. I had endometriosis for 18 years and i never thought i would ever get a cure due to the terrible symptoms i had and this made it impossible for me to get pregnant even after 12 years of marriage and it was a serious issue. I got to know about Dr. LEETU who treated someone and the person shared a story of how she got a cure and let her contact details, i contacted Dr. LEETU and he actually confirmed it and i decided to give a try too and use his herbal medicine that was how my burden ended completely. My son will be 2 this december and i am greatful to God and thankful to his for medicine too. If you have (Endometriosis, PCOS, Fibroid, Ovarian cyst, Ectopic Pregnancy or any infertility issues) just reach him on (drleetu99@gmail.com) he has professional advise and a cure too.
